UC California Studies Consortium March UCCSC supports collaborative research by UC faculty, graduate students, and their colleagues at other institutions as part of a University-wide initiative for the humanities, arts and social sciences.
Cancer Research Coordinating Committee January for letter of intent The UC CRCC is a systemwide, faculty-directed cancer research program that provides competitive intramural research awards for topics in any discipline that address any aspect of cancer.
Center for Collaborative Research for an Equitable California varies CCREC’s research aim is to produce and support multi-/inter-/trans-disciplinary and collaborative scholarship that effects changes in California’s communities and policy arenas to reduce persistent inequities in the economy, education, employment, environment, health, housing, and nutrition.
Center for Comparative Immigration Studies Fellowship Programs January The CCIS research agenda focuses on Mexican migration to California and comparative, cross-national and cross-regional research on international migratory movements, immigration policy, and citizenship policy.

Institute for Laser Science and Applications, LLNL varies ILSA facilitates proposals for the use of LLNL HED Facilities and HED experimental research collaborations.
UC Institute for Research in the Arts varies UCIRA is a statewide program dedicated to supporting and promoting arts practice and research across the UC system.
Institute for Scientific Computing Research, LLNL varies ISCR engages, educates and empowers computational scientists through directed research projects, sponsored conferences and seminars, computers allocations, and outreach programs for the LLLNL Computation Directorate.
Institute of American Cultures, UCLA February The IAC offers Visiting Scholar and Visiting Researcher Program in Ethnic Studies awards to to support research on African Americans, American Indians, Asian Americans, and Chicanas/os.
Institute of European Studies, UCB varies Faculty Grants are awarded for research, curriculum development, and travel for foreign language instructors. Other grants and fellowships are offered for students.
Institute of Geophysics, Planetary Physics, and Signatures; LANL March or April IGPPS supports cutting-edge science in the areas of astrophysics, space physics, solid planetary geoscience, and climate science.

President’s Research Catalyst Awards June for letter of intent Research proposals must involve a minimum of three UC campuses and address topics that have the potential to improve human lives, society, the environment, or the economy, enhance culture and community, or provide other public benefit.
Proof of Concept Program: Commercialization Gap Grants December The PoC Program funds innovations and discoveries at the cusp of commercialization that require a final demonstration of their commercial viability.

Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program varies TRDRP funds research that contributes to the elimination of smoking and tobacco use and mitigates the human and economic costs of tobacco use in California.
Transportation Center, UC varies UCTC offers faculty research grants and dissertation research grants.
Western Integrated Pest Management Center varies WIPMC supports research in pest management.
