American Academy in Rome
Rome Prize Fellowships
November 1 Each year, through a national competition, the Rome Prize is awarded to 15 artists in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Design, Historic Preservation and Conservation, Literature, Musical Composition, or Visual Arts and 15 scholars in Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance and early Modern, or Modern Italian Studies. Applicants, except those applying for the NEH postdoctoral fellowship, must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. U.S. citizens and foreign nationals who have lived in the U.S. for the three years preceding the application deadline may apply for the NEH postdoctoral fellowships.
